The hysteroscopy for infertility is an examination to visualize the inside of the uterus, through the introduction of a hysteroscope (tube provided with an optical device) in the vagina, through the cervix, until 'to the uterine cavity. The doctor may observe the opening of the cervix, the interior of the cavity, and the "mouths" of the fallopian tubes. This procedure makes it possible to establish a diagnosis (diagnostic hysteroscopy) or to treat a problem (surgical hysteroscopy). The hysteroscope is a medical optical instrument composed of a light source and an optical fiber. It is often equipped with a mini-camera at the end and connected to a screen.
